Sophie graduated Winchester University with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy. In addition, Sophie started a sports massage business while pursuing her degree. She has helped high profile athletes, such as GB Wheelchair Rugby players to British Olympic trampolinists in managing and improving a variety of conditions as well as musculoskeletal injuries.

Why did I become a physiotherapist

Physiotherapy has always been my dream occupation. Throughout my adolescence I have seeked guidance from physiotherapists after sustaining injuries from competing at a high level in multiple sports (trampolining and powerlifting for Britain and now competing in Brazilian jiu jitsu). I have always wanted to ‘pay back’ by giving guidance and helping others. I view each client as an individual and enjoy working to help treat people who have any injury to see them progress and become pain free by treating the underlying issue rather than just the symptoms.

What are my passions?

I have a strong desire to help anyone with any injury, disease, or problem that affecting their muscles, bones, joints, or peripheral nerves. Each client is treated individually with a personalised plan specific for their requirements and needs. The focus is on long term recovery by restoring function to the injured body parts by focusing on a detailed biomechanical assessment, strengthening, balance, co-ordination, manipulations and soft tissue massage. I am an advocate for ensuring all clients succeed in their rehabilitation ensuring the highest level of attention during sessions.

Where would you find me in my spare time?

When I am not at work you will find me in the gym either training Brazilian jiu jitsu or strength training. I also love any form of food and short break holidays!
